Who we are

David Hunter, Operations Manager at Arc-Tech MU, brings a wealth of experience to the table.

With over 34 years in the utility industry, David began as an apprentice Distribution Fitter in 1989. He’s certified in the Safe Control of Operations (SCO) for IDNOs and DNOs across Scotland and England, holding Competent Person (CP) status for over 25 years. David has honed his skills across the UK, working on high-profile projects involving low- and high-pressure networks.

David is also skilled in water mains and service installation, with CABWI certification, and in LV and HV cable installation, both for over a decade. His industrial and commercial metering expertise allows him to handle all sizes of metering units.

At Arc-Tech MU, he leverages his vast knowledge to lead complex projects and mentor his team. His vision and leadership have been instrumental in successfully completing numerous complex projects, further solidifying the company’s position in the industry.

Greig started his career in the gas industry in 2006 where he gained invaluable experience in the installation of mains service connections to domestic and commercial properties.

Greig quickly advanced to become a Multi-utility Service Layer which saw him assume responsibility for the installation, testing and commissioning of gas and water services to projects across Scotland. In his role as Multi-Utilites Manager, Greig oversees the design of multi-utility packages to ensure client demands are continuously met; with 15 years of industry experience, his knowledge is vital to our portfolio of contracts.

Stephanie Lowdon has been working as a Project Coordinator at Arc-Tech MU since June 2021.

During her time at the company, she has expanded her expertise beyond water and now includes gas and electric utilities. Stephanie’s contributions have been invaluable to the company. She has played a pivotal role in every project the company has undertaken, especially in streamlining utility planning, ensuring cost savings, and managing tight deadlines.

Stephanie’s hard work and dedication have been especially apparent during challenging situations, and her management of all vesting activities for water and sewer has been exemplary. She is committed to continuous learning and is eager to expand her knowledge in emerging areas such as district heating and sprinkler systems. This dedication ensures that her role remains integral to Arc-Tech MU’s operations and success.

Kirsty Mahon is the Finance Coordinator at Arc-Tech MU, a role she has excelled in since her promotion in spring 2023.

Integral to the company’s daily operations, her extensive experience in the construction industry and deep understanding of contract environments have made her indispensable.

Kirsty’s expertise in organisation, communication, and financial management, including tender support and valuations, ensures the smooth operation of the MU headquarters. Her commitment to the financial health of each project and her ability to adapt to new reporting technologies are vital to the company’s success.

Ryan worked for 7 years internationally in industrial fluid transfer before returning to Scotland to build digital design skills on top of his hands-on skills.

He then spent 2 years studying Computer Aided Design while balancing full-time working hours and is now at the final exam stage of Electrical Engineering.

His journey from a CAD Technician to overseeing the design department showcases his growth and commitment to enhancing the team’s potential.

Ryan’s focus on communication and knowledge development has been instrumental in the comprehensive design process. Moving forward, he aims to enhance the design team’s capabilities, ensuring that Arc-Tech MU continues to have a significant impact as an ICP and remains a strong presence in the utilities industry.

Alejandro Codiamat is a proficient CAD Technician who joined us in October 2023.

He is well-known for his attention to detail and expertise in computer-aided design. With over two years of experience, he has become an integral part of the architectural planning process, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards. His collaborative spirit and technical expertise have significantly contributed to the team’s project successes.

Alejandro is particularly excited about exploring new design software and tools that he’s currently learning. He believes these advancements are opening up fresh avenues for efficiency and calculation in his work.

Aaron Dolan is a Trainee Designer who started working at Arc-Tech MU in October 2023.

He has quickly learned how to navigate the complexities of the industry and has taken on new responsibilities, such as planning utility routes and preparing cost estimates. Aaron is committed to ensuring efficiency and accuracy in his work, which has been a valuable asset to the company’s project planning and execution.

As he looks to the future, he is focused on expanding his expertise to contribute even more significantly to the success of Arc-Tech MU.
