Herald Property Awards for Scotland Announce MU Projects as 2025 Finalists

20th August 2025

Eight developments supported by Arc-Tech MU have reached the finals of this year’s Herald Property Awards for Scotland.

For more than 20 years, this ceremony “has been the highlight of the year for developers, estate agents and those involved in transforming Scotland’s housing and commercial landscape.”

The Herald Property Awards have remained the only one of their kind where every single property and development is visited in person by two members of the panel of distinguished judges.

A total of 18 project nominations are spread across five categories, featuring projects located across the breadth of the country that Arc-Tech’s in-house utilities services have supported.

Among the nominees are three developments that have purpose-built, zero-emissions district heating systems, which form part of an operational net zero carbon energy strategy.

Western Villages (444 homes) is the country’s largest ‘net zero ready’ residential development, and Granton Station View (75) is another pioneering project of mixed-tenure affordable homes. The projects were constructed within 1 mile of each other in north Edinburgh, while a third project – Clydebank East (88) – is the first and largest of its kind in West Dunbartonshire.

Various developments in Glasgow to be nominated include 78 low carbon homes for sale in Dundashill (Maltings Wynd), as well as sites in Govan and the West End that have adopted a mix of dual-fuel and tri-fuel utilities packages.

Arc-Tech extend our congratulations to Main Contractor, CCG (Scotland), with whom we have worked across all nominated developments, as well as our clients and supply chain partners.
