Homes for Scotland is an industry body representing over 200 private and affordable housebuilders across the country.
The organisation works with both local and national governments to help ensure Scotland’s housing needs and aspirations are met, and, each year, it brings the industry together to celebrate some of the country’s best developers and new-build housing projects.
This year’s ceremony took place on Friday, 30 May, with Water Row being announced as a winner, signifying its standing as one of Scotland’s best examples of affordable housebuilding.
Delivered by Main Contractor CCG (Scotland) with support from an MU dual-fuel utility services package, the development is the first phase of a multi-phased, mixed-use regeneration in Govan. It comprises 92, two-bedroom flats for mid-market rent and six commercial premises for Govan Housing Group.
Constructed between 2022 and 2024, it is now recognised as a landmark along the banks of the River Clyde, residing alongside the new Govan-Partick Bridge, both for its architectural presence and its standing as one of the city’s first fully non-gas residential developments delivered efore the introduction of the New Build Heat Standard last April.
