Chestnut Avenue, Edinburgh

A transformative development on overlooking the Firth of Forth, Chestnut Avenue is the single largest development supported by MU since our inception.

Located on West Granton Harbour in Edinburgh, the development is the latest contribution to the transformation along the waterfront, with 305 one and two-bedroom apartments delivered on behalf of Harbour Homes.

Arc-Tech MU supported Main Contractor CCG (Scotland) by providing a full design, supply and installation of multi-utilities, including:

Gas:

Design approval for new Gas mains and services design
Liaise with GT and adopting IGT and carry out gas connection onto existing main
Supply and installation of 867m of 125/90/63mm Gas mains pipework from a connection location
Supply and installation of 71No 32mm single gas services
Supply and installation of 239No gas services via external screwed steel gas riser
Excavate, backfill and reinstate joint bay for Gas CSEP as well as 10m of offsite track to bring new gas mains into the site boundary

Electricity:

Design approval for new Electric mains and services design
Liaise with DNO and adopting IDNO and carry out electric connection onto existing main
Supply and installation of 980m of LV mains cabling from new substation
Supply and installation of 71No single electric services for the 71No houses
Supply and installation of 13No Distribution boards and 239No internal electric services to serve flatted properties
Excavate, backfill and reinstate joint bay for Electric POC to bring the new electric mains to the site boundary

Water:

Liaise with Scottish Water and carry out mains connection onto existing SW main
Supply and installation of 845m 125/90/63mm Barrier pipework and associated fittings
Supply and installation of 71No 25mm Barrier pipe services
Supply and installation of 14No 90/63mm Barrier pipe service to serve the flatted properties
Excavate, backfill and reinstate joint bay for Water POC to bring new water mains into the site boundary
