Langlands Road, Glasgow

Langlands Road is a 46-home development in the southside of Glasgow.

Located just off Harmony Row in Govan town centre, the masterplan consists of two 6-storey blocks, with a total of 46 1 and 2-bedroom flats specifically designed for tenants aged 55 and above.

Led by CCG (Scotland) on behalf of Trust Housing Association, works commenced on the £9m development in late 2022 with Arc-Tech MU offering support in the form of a turnkey, Multi-utilities package.

This includes:

Gas

159m of 125/90/63mm Gas pipework.
8No external screwed steel Gas risers shall be installed to serve each of the properties.

Water

77m of 200mm Ductile Iron pipework.
60m of 90/63mm BARRIER pipework.
2No 63mm BP Water services shall be installed to serve each of the properties, terminating at a boundary box.
2No Test and chlorination required to be installed.
2No Test and chlorination of the new 63mm water services is required.
1No 32mm service to feed the site compound.

Electricity

From the 2No points of diversion, 113m of LV mains cabling shall be installed in suitable tracks throughout the site.
46No Electric services shall be installed to serve each of the properties, via a new MSDB board installed at ground level within each block. Each service shall terminate at a 100A cut-out.
New Services shall also be installed from the new mains to serve 1no Street lighting control pillar (1-phase)
1No 3-phase temporary electric service to supply the site compound.

Civils

Excavation, backfill and reinstatement of the connection bays for connections to the Gas, Water and Electricity mains which have been identified as being off-site.
Excavation, backfill and reinstatement of approximately 18m of suitable Multi Utility track within carriageway and 134m within footpath are also required to install new cabling and pipework out with the site boundary.
