Lochshore Community Hub, North Ayrshire

The new £4.2m Lochshore Visitor & Community Hub in North Ayrshire is set to become a popular landmark for a burgeoning community in the west of Scotland.

Formally opened in September 2022, the purpose-built facility was delivered by MU parent company CCG (Scotland) and hub South West Scotland on behalf of North Ayrshire Council.

It comprises six, new changing rooms for Garnock Rugby Club as well valuable space for the local community and sports groups. A 60-eater visitor cafe will also be created with a viewing deck offering unrivalled coastal views.

Arc-Tech MU have supported the construction programme with a Water Services package that includes:

  • Supply and installation of 162m of Fire Mains pipework
  • Supply and installation of 227m of 63mm water pipework for new commercial water service
  • Test and Chlorination of newly installed Water mains
  • Supply and installation of 1No 32mm water service for pop-up Marquee unit

This project was supported with grants from funding bodies including the Scottish Government via their Regeneration Capital Grant Fund and the Vacant & Derelict Land Fund, Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, Scottish Enterprise, Sports Scotland, Land Trust and Garnock Rugby Club.
