The 444-home Western Villages forms part of the £1.3bn Granton Waterfront Regeneration in north Edinburgh, and is the largest individual development Arc-Tech MU has supported to date.
Built to achieve operational net zero carbon through a combination of advanced fabric performance and the use of zero-emissions heating, the development is one of the most significant anywhere in the UK.
It is now starting to receive national recognition with the announcement of 2 finalist positions for the Unlock Net Zero Awards. Taking place alongside Housing 2025, the awards “celebrate positive climate action from both an individual and organisational perspective, complete with categories to celebrate the success and collaboration of individuals, teams, partnerships, projects and organisations.”
Western Villages is nominated in the ‘Collaboration of the Year (Partnership)’ and ‘New Build Development of the Year (North and Scotland)’ categories.
MU extends our congratulations to the client, The City of Edinburgh Council, and the main contractor, CCG (Scotland), as well as the wider design team on receiving such prestigious nominations.
